Public pages: no browser-storage keys
Language selection uses the page URL. Knowledge search, video playback controls and navigation use the current document’s memory only. Films and captions are first-party resources, with no embedded third-party player. Ordinary browser caching is separate from application cookies.
- No advertising cookies, cross-site visitor identifiers or external analytics are enabled.
- Following an external source or community link opens the other provider’s site; that provider’s own privacy and cookie rules then apply.
Separate login, registration and service storage
Opening login or registration, or using the signed-in application, can activate the following first-party storage. These keys are not created by reading the public pages. They support the requested service and are not advertising identifiers. The full service notice explains their scope and safeguards.
- myrentory_session — necessary session cookie for login state, request-forgery protection and session security; browser-session lifetime.
- myrentory_registration — necessary session cookie for registration progress and request-forgery protection; browser-session lifetime.
- myrentory.active-toasts.v1.* — sessionStorage for unexpired interface notifications across page navigation, isolated by portal and account context; cleared on expiry/dismissal or when the tab session ends.
- myrentory.sidebar.expanded and myrentory-admin-nav — sessionStorage for the requested expanded/compact navigation, until the tab session ends.
- myrentory.interface.theme — sessionStorage for an explicitly selected light/dark appearance, until the tab session ends; the default appearance alone does not write a preference.
Consent and your browser settings
Directive 2002/58/EC Article 5(3) distinguishes storage strictly necessary for an explicitly requested service from storage requiring prior consent. Necessary service storage is explained without a misleading optional-consent checkbox. You can remove or block storage in your browser; blocking necessary cookies may prevent login or registration. Removing a cookie does not itself erase server-held personal data.
- If optional analytics, advertising storage or comparable non-essential access is introduced, it must remain disabled until the required informed, granular consent is obtained.
- Any future consent interface must allow refusal and later withdrawal. Reading a page or following a link is not consent to optional tracking.
Contact and maintenance
Questions about cookies and browser storage can be sent to the contact below. This inventory must be updated whenever names, purposes, providers or durations change; adding storage does not become lawful merely because this page lists it.
